making typographical waves
‘uncharted territory’ is the theme of this year’s heilbronn architecture talks, an annual series of lectures. when we first approached the theme, seeking a typographical match, we were all at sea, not a hint of terra firma in sight, and as the deadline approached we were ready to wave the white flag. then suddenly, there it was, our lifebelt: the notion of ‘wave’ translated into typography. wavy lines, seasick colours and… ‘land ho!’ uncharted territory in sight!
